Using my 18 years' experience leading the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County School Board, I am proposing legislation that will lead to improved educational opportunity for our children. I introduced two bills the first of March that will move our community in the right direction:
I was among 120 members of the House and 50 members of the Senate sworn in Wednesday January 9th as the 2013-14 session began its work. Pam held the Bible as I took the oath of office in the House chamber in the General Assembly building. Our oldest grandchild, Katelyn, served as a Junior Page for the day.
Wednesday’s session was for organizational purposes. We elected officers and adopted rules. It is a huge responsibility to vote on issues that will determine the future of our great State and to represent the people of Forsyth County. I am grateful for the support I have received over the past year and excited about making a difference in the direction of North Carolina. As we move into discussion of complicated issues, I hope to hear from you. The best way to contact me is through email, [email protected] NAMED TO LEADERSHIP POST
